Gary Sewell Roberson
Founder of Investment House on Forest, Inc.
As a seasoned professional, Gary learned that with life comes many challenges. Over the years he found himself working with more and more people who were transitioning through difficult times in their lives. Often they were managing substantial money for the first time. When put in this position to manage wealth, the responsibility could be overwhelming.
"As a financial advisor Gary's clients became my extended family. As my own family relied on him as the patriarch, over the years he found his family of clients could use his guidance and wisdom as well in areas that arrive in their lives that for many were unfamiliar territory."- Melba Dorton, Gary's long time office coordinator.
Gary was a CFP® and a statistics major from the University of Mississippi, who had extensive corporate planning experience with major companies: IBM, Sperry, and General Instrument corporations. For over the past decade, Gary focused his career to help individuals and their families prepare and manage financial strategies for the long term. He was a commitment to establish and maintain a valued relationship with each positioned client for the many years to come.
He made every effort to know each client on a personal level as possible, they were not just clients, each was family. It was this personal connection that led him to devote time to advance preparation for their future without him.
Unfortunately, Gary's last day as a financial advisor was not of his choosing. But he established a solid foundation for his clients to be able to reach out.
As Gary previously shared with his clients when he introduced Geoffery Forsyth as an addition to the IHOF family, he was mindful of what they may have need of as he began contemplating retirement. Gary knew that Geoff would be a strong addition to the Investment House on Forest, Inc and that he would take care of clients in the proper spirit and trusting manner that has always been the philosophy of IHOF.
Gary's love for his clients, and the broader community that he served in various roles will be notably missed. But we hope that as you keep his family in your thoughts and prayers over the ensuing days, your will also remember all that he stood for, all that he strived to do, and all that he accomplished with you.
